DeSean Jackson documentary to debut this weekend

DeSean Jackson is one of the most exciting players in the league, but what may be more intriguing than the player, is his story. A documentary on the football life of Jackson is set to debut on iNDemand this Sunday, just in time for Father's Day. The film took 18-years to make and has a fitting theme and title for this weekend's annual holiday. "#10 DeSean Jackson: The Making of a Father's Dream" is the creation of Jackson's brother and the film's director, Byron Jackson. A former athlete who was extremely invested in his little brother, Byron, started filming DeSean's sport accolades from a young age. DeSean and Byron's dad, Bill Jackson, was a catalyst for the younger Jackson's career and his success and plays a big role in the film.

Bill Jackson died of pancreatic cancer before DeSean's second year in the league. The film is dedicated to Bill, much like DeSean's career. Bill was known for being a tough motivator and was heavily involved in DeSean's career, so much so that when Jackson was drafted by the Eagles, Andy Reid told him that his dad needed to back off. The documentary will give fans and critics a unique look at DeSean and his upbringing, as well as his relationships with family and friends.
