Add DeSean Jackson to the list of Eagles veterans who want answers

USA TODAY Sports

The NFL may be a "copycat" league, but it now appears the Eagles are playing a game of "follow the leader." Pro Football Talk has transcribed DeSean Jackson's appearance on NFL Network from Tuesday night and the quotes hold similar to that of Michael Vick. During his time on Total Access, the former Pro Bowler went out of his way to join the now-two man conquest for answers regarding the quarterback decision.

Jackson, who has been relatively quiet when it comes to negativity regarding the Eagles regime change, is coming off an cluster of OTAs and a minicamp where he rotated with backup wide receivers. The California alum is a known supporter of Vick, but is seemingly just looking for answers. "I have been hearing some things about Vick saying that he wants to know," Jackson said. "At the same time, the team wants to know too. We need to go into training camp prepared and know who is going to be our starting quarterback."

Heading into his sixth season, Jackson is looking to get back to his Pro Bowl ways. He seemingly does not care whether the guy throwing the ball is Vick or Nick Foles, but he would like some clarification so he can adapt to the chosen signal-caller. Still, if he was the judge, he would not be able to pick a winner. "I don't know, it has been kind of even," Jackson said of the quarterback battle.

This kind of questioning somewhat falls in line with Leonard Weaver's speculation that was reported yesterday on BGN. While Jackson is not being negative, he does seem to be pretty outspoken about his curiosity toward a situation that he knows his coach will not settle until training camp. Jackson is not the bad guy here. He literally just wants to know which co-worker will be his partner-in-crime. There is nothing wrong with that, but if more players continue to come out and try to force Chip Kelly's hand, it could blow up in everyone's face at the NovaCare Complex.
