Tim Tebow and his NFL journey may only continue in the dreams of some football fans, but one wealthy Jaguars supporter is putting his money where his heart is. In a video that would trump any "We gotta have Boldin" blog post, Orlando attorney, John Morgan of Morgan & Morgan (one of the more successful law firms in the state of Florida), posted an audio and visual plea for the Jaguars to sign the former "Mile High Messiah." Here is the video in its entirety:
As you will notice, the video is poorly produced but hits on some points that may leave NFL fans scratching their heads. For one, Morgan seems to imply that Josh McDaniels is a genius, despite his hilariously awful three-year tenure with the Broncos, simply because he traded away half of his 2010 draft for Tebow. Morgan also mentions that the Jaguars have had trouble selling tickets, but later in the video, he suggests he is holding out on buying a Skybox. Nothing says fan support like threatening ticket sales in order to make your owner buy a player who has disinterested the entire league. Then, there is the whole rundown of his college accomplishments. I guess all that law practicing has kept Mr. Morgan from realizing that other high-profile college quarterbacks like Troy Smith, Matt Leinert, Vince Young, Chris Weinke, and Danny Wuerrfel have all proven to be awful-to-average NFL players.
To make this horrible display of fandom even worse, Morgan compares Jaguars owner Shad Khan to Tebow. Khan is billionaire with an NFL franchise, while Tebow is a nice kid that is clearly not a very good businessman (or else he would be open to a position change that would allow his team and his career to benefit from his strengths). Also, what is with the whole "You can't TiVo Tebow" thing? What does that mean?
How does this have anything to do with the Eagles? That is a fair question. However, consider that this is one fan or a small group (if you consider the White House petition) that is making an entire fanbase look ignorant to a national audience. Sound familiar?
