Earlier this week it was noted that Danny Watkins, after spending most of these OTAs with the first team, had started taking snaps with the second group.
Chip Kelly warned not to take much from this.
"We're just rolling guys," he said. "There's first group, second group, and we're rolling people through. We get a look at them. Just like I said, the last time we talked about it, I wouldn't make too much about who is playing with first group, who is playing with second group."
And it seems as though he was true to his word. Watkins was back with the first team today at RG. Todd Herremans was taking snaps with the 2s. Lane Johnson is taking snaps with the 1s as is veteran Allen Barbre.
Like Chip said though, there's really not much to take from this so early and it really does seem like they're just rotating guys around.
Two notable veterans who are not present today are CB Cary Williams and OT Jason Peters. These are voluntary OTAs so no one has to be there. As Jeff McLane notes, Williams has skipped the majority of the Eagles offseason program so far.
The team will hold it's first minicamp next week and all players will be required to attend.
