2013 NFL Mock Draft: 2 round SBNation writers mock

Check out our 2013 Eagles mock draft central for more opinions on who could be the #4 pick in April.

Jerry Lai-US PRESSWIRE

The 32 writers representation the 32 SBNation NFL blogs have completed our 2 round 2013 NFL mock draft. Below you can see all 62 selections, but here are the explanations behind the Eagles picks.

In the first round, I grabbed CMU OT Eric Fisher.

"If either of the top tackles fell to the Eagles, I think they'd be pretty happy, but especially so with Eric Fisher. As a better athlete than Luke Joeckel, Fisher should fit the more up-tempo style that Chip Kelly is likely to want to play."

"Plus, it's a need. The Eagles' offensive line struggled last year largely thanks to injuries to four out of five starters, but that's exactly why help is needed. There are no guarantees all come back healthy, and even if they do, Fisher still should represent an upgrade. If Jason Peters is ready to go at LT (a big "if"), Fisher could certainly slot over at RT for a few years. That would also allow the team to move Todd Herremans back inside, where he's been more effective than he was at RT."

In the second round I took North Carolina DT Sylvester Williams.

"As the Eagles make the switch to a 3-4 this offseason, they've clearly had a focus on adding players that would be a scheme fit. Connor Barwin from the Texans should slide in at OLB, and Isaac Sopoaga will man the NT position next season. Guys like Brandon Graham and Trent Cole should fit as pass rushers on the outside. Fletcher Cox, who was a standout last season, seems well built to play DE in a 3-4, but that all leaves one big hole: who is the third man up front?"

"The Eagles released Cullen Jenkins and Mike Patterson, two decent candidates for that role, so clearly they'll need to bring in someone for that spot and Sylvester Williams should fit well. At his size he can jump between NT and DE up front. As evidenced by his 13.5 tackles for loss and six sacks last season, he should provide a penetrating presence at either spot."
