Philadelphia Eagles Notes: Branden Albert trade, Jeremiah Trotter at the draft & Lane Johnson's private workout

A few afternoon Eagles tidbits...

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL has announced that NFL alumni would be brought to Radio City to announce the 2nd day picks of all 32 teams. Jeremiah Trotter will do the honors for the Eagles, who pick at #35 and #67 overall.

Lane Johnson held a private workout with the Eagles and told Philly.com that he thinks he could go #4 overall.

"It's a good possibility," Johnson said on Wednesday. "What they're going to do offensively really fits what I excel at -- up-tempo, zone offense. But you never know what's going to happen come draft day."

Johnson, who played at Oklahoma, has pushed his way into the top tier of not only OTs, but all players in this draft. NFL Network's Mike Mayock says Johnson's freakish athleticism means he has more upside than either Eric Fisher or Luke Joeckel.

Speaking of Luke Joeckel, it's looking more and more like he's going to be the #1 pick. LT Branden Albert was a no show at the Chiefs first mincamp and the word is that he has been given permission to talk to the Dolphins about a trade. Andy Reid is looking for a "high" 2nd round pick for Albert, which is part of what he sent to San Francisco for Alex Smith. So Branden Albert and a 2014 3rd rounder for Alex Smith?

KC holds the top pick in the 2013 draft and if they traded Albert, Joeckel or one of the LTs, would be an obvious pick.
