The NFL offseason is starting to get fun again. The draft is just nine days away and mini-camps will pop up soon after. Now, the league has announced that the schedule for the entire league will be unveiled on Thursday, April 16th. Typically, the announcement shows have been the week before the draft on a Tuesday, but according to the league office, the schedule itself was not done in time for the announcement. Remember, that while have known the match-ups since before the playoffs even started in January, the league does have to be mindful of where the games fit in with television schedules and such.
The addition of mandatory Thursday night games for all teams, along with heavier television contracts, makes the process for the league likely a bit harder. Given how the Eagles have played the past two years and the team's likely rebuilding approach, it will be interesting to see how many nationally-televised games that Philadelphia will get. Either way, the team is assured one national game on NFL Network.
Here are the list of opponents the Eagles will face in 2013:
Home
Away
New York Giants
Dallas Cowboys
Washington Redskins
The schedule announcement will be made at 8 p.m. on NFL Network. If you have to miss the announcement show, make sure to check Bleeding Green Nation for all the latest updates.
