Report: Philadelphia Eagles Have Interest in Safety Rashad Johnson

USA TODAY Sports

With NFL free agency only right around the corner, rumors about possible Eagles free agent targets are starting to become more and more frequent.

The latest rumor is about Arizona Cardinals impending UFA Safety Rashad Johnson.

Johnson played in limited snaps (166) last season as Adrian Wilson's back up. According to PFF, he graded out fine in pass coverage but struggled against the run. In the 57 games (14 started) he's played over 4 seasons he has 133 tackles (104 solo), 10 PD, 1 FF and 2 FR.

The former third round pick (95th overall) was drafted by the Cardinals in 2009. He played college football for Alabama after making the team as a walk-on.

According to reports in Arizona, however, it's possible Johnson might sign with the Cards before FA even begins.
