Second wave of free agency slow but starting to pick up

While the Eagles have kept busy early into the offseason, there are still big names to be reeled in via free agency.

USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles are among the most active teams in free agency, but there is still more talent to be had. Big name free agency are still in limbo as they search for their paydays, most of which will have to settle for one-year deals to prove they can maintain their recent success. Still, some of those guys are slowly being added to rosters and the market is starting to become a bit more settled.

Among the free agents that are no longer an option for teams looking to add talent, are Sebastian Vollmer who agreed to a long-term deal with the Patriots early Sunday morning and Osi Umenyiora who has reportedly made the decision to join the Atlanta Falcons. Also, All-Pro talents like Ed Reed and Jake Long joined the Texans and Rams respectively, last week. Lower-end starters like Dwan Edwards (Panthers), D.J. Williams (Bears), and Kellen Davis (Browns) have also been signed in recent days as well.

With all that talent off the board, there are still some relatively accomplished free agents out on the market. Some of the top remaining players who are still out on the street include:

Name Position 2012 Team
Fred Davis TE Redskins
Andre Smith OT Bengals
Matt Slauson OG Jets
Eric Winston OT Chiefs
Elvis Dumervil DE/OLB Broncos
Sedrick Ellis DT/DE Saints
Richard Seymour DT/DE Raiders
Corey Williams DT Lions
Karlos Dansby LB Dolphins
Justin Durant LB Lions
Shaun Phillips LB Chargers
Ronde Barber DB Buccaneers
Brent Grimes CB Falcons
Michael Huff S Raiders
Mike Jenkins CB Cowboys
Quintin Mikell S Rams
Charles Woodson DB Packers
Kevin Kolb QB Cardinals
Jason Campbell QB Bears
Ramses Barden WR Giants

Of the guys remaining, on this list or not, who would you want to add to the Eagles roster for some pre-draft depth or possibly as a starter?

(Update: According to the Denver Post, Elvis Dumervil is headed to the Ravens on a five-year contract.)
