It's very rare that Eagles web guy Dave Spadaro says anything definitive. Typically, in his role as host of Eagles Live or on twitter, he'll talk about rumors that other people report or give his opinion on a player... always with the caveat that he doesn't know what exactly the Eagles are planning.
So it's interesting that today on Eagles Live he refuted the rumor that the Eagles were interested in free agent WR Danny Amendola. It "will not happen" according to Spadaro.
This comes on the heels of a report last night from CSNPhilly's Geoff Mosher who cited a source who said that Amendola would be a target of the Eagles when the NFL's free agency period opens on Tuesday.
As I said, Spuds rarely says anything this definitive and that's for good reason. So when he does, I would tend to believe him. Les Bowen of the Daily News also denied the report earlier this morning. Obviously anything can happen, but don't be holding your breath for Danny Amendola in Eagles green next year.
At least judging by the response to the rumor last night, many of you will not be displeased to hear the news...
