2013 NFL Mock Draft: Jets, Cardinals make big moves for QBs

Check out our 2013 Eagles mock draft central for more opinions on who could be the #4 pick in April.

USA TODAY Sports

Pete Schrager of Fox Sports released his latest mock yesterday. I always enjoy Schrager's because he clearly doesn't pay a lot of attention to what everyone else is predicting. Plus, he's also incorporated trades this time. More on that later.

First, he had the Eagles taking Alabama CB Dee Milliner.

Michael Vick will be Chip Kelly's starting quarterback in 2013. Will Nick Foles be his backup? We'll see how the Eagles proceed in the coming weeks, but regardless of who's under center or the understudy to the guy who's under center - the Eagles need to improve their defensive backfield. Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie could both be salary-cap casualties, and the rest of the corners in Philly are just "guys."

Milliner isn't just a "guy." He's the next in a long line of great Alabama corners to enter the NFL Draft. He'll be a good fit in Philly - playing for whoever's coaching them next season. Milliner won't be working out at his Pro Day, and some thought he was less than impressive in Indianapolis, but I think he's a Top 5 pick.

Not an especially new name for the Eagles, but one we'll likely hear more and more after his strong combine.

Where Schrager's mock really gets interesting is the trades late in the first. Both involve QB needy teams jumping back up into the first to grab signal callers. He's got the Cardinals going first, trading with St Louis to get Matt Barkley. That pick was one of two 1st rounder St Louis has this year and came via the RG3 trade.

The other move comes via the Jets, who trade back into the first with the Falcons to grab Florida State QB E.J. Manuel. Let me tell, that would send the Jets fans at Radio City into a frenzy. A frenzy of boos or cheers you ask? I'm not sure...

For full analysis of each pick, check out Schrager's full mock.
