2013 NFL mock draft: QBs & safeties on the rise post Super Bowl

Check out our 2013 Eagles mock draft central for more opinions on who could be the #4 pick in April.

USA TODAY Sports

The ending of the Super Bowl means that draft season begins in earnest and when draft season begins, mock drafts start coming fast and furious. Today we've got a fresh new one from Mocking the Draft and it actually has some real movement.

For the Eagles, it's the same story it's been for a while with OT Luke Joeckel being the pick. He's a very highly rated prospect at a vital position and he'd be a great pick. Beyond that though, the board really changed from MTD's pre-Super Bowl mock, which I have included here as well.

The most notable is Ezekiel Ansah's meteoric rise up the draft, leapfrogging Damontre Moore. Moore, who many have rated as the top DE/OLB in the draft, is the 3rd pass rusher taken here.

There's not a major change overall for the QB class, but we did see a major move for Tyler Wilson as he leaps into the top 10 after previously not being in the first round at all. Meanwhile, Mike Glennon drops out. As we've seen in recent years, teams will grab a QB anywhere, so this is a very real scenario.

But the one position in this mock that really jumped is safety, which is bad news for the Eagles. In the pre-SB mock 3 safeties went in the first and were all near the end of the round, very close to where the Eagles will pick in the 2nd. In this post-SB mock, we see Kenny Vaccaro leap into the top 10 and current BGN mancrush Jonathan Cyprien coming off the board in the first round.
