One of our favorite draft analysts, Tony Pauline, released his latest mock draft for USA Today this morning. He's got a new name for the Eagles and has the board setting up relatively well for their second rounder.

With the #4 overall pick he has the Birds taking Oregon OLB/DE Dion Jordan.

"Jordan is a natural fit for the 3-4 defense and a good fit for Chip Kelly, his former college coach," wrote Pauline.

Certainly Jordan has been climbing up draft boards in recent weeks and his strong combine performance did nothing to stop that rise.

"Dion's just a special guy in my heart," said Chip Kelly. "I had an opportunity to be with him for five years. He came into Oregon as a receiver, moved to tight end, we switched him over to defense the beginning of his sophomore year. He just had a huge impact, not only on the field but off the field."

While Jordan would likely be seen as a solid pick with the first, what about the Eagles second? Presumably that's an area where they could begin to address some of the major holes in the secondary. In Pauline's mock, you'll see that he has guys like Matt Elam an Desmond Trufant going off the board in the late first. That does thin out the pack a bit, but it still leaves guys like CBs Xavier Rhodes and Johnthan Banks as well as safeties Johnathan Cyprien & Eric Reid on the board at the top of the 2nd.
