Iggles Blog - Philadelphia Eagles Blog: No, You Build *Around* Brandon Graham
There's been a fair amount of Graham talk lately. Does he fit as a 3-4 OLB? Would it make sense to move him for someone who might fit better? Why do we even care about Graham anyway since he's a bust and we should have taken JPP? All of these things are wrong.* Let's work backwards.
How frequently has your team drafted OL talent in the last 5 years – Blogging the bEast
A few days ago, we published a timeline of the Cowboys’ unwillingness to appropriately fix their offensive line over the last 5 years. Buried deep within that post was a chart that showed how frequently all 32 teams draft OL talent. That post focused on the Cowboys, but I think there are a lot of other interesting things to analyze within that chart, especially leading up to the 2013 draft, which is loaded with talent along the OL. Here’s the chart, with some observations on other teams around the league following behind.

Eagles Notes: Eagles' Chip Kelly lauds Dion Jordan at combine
"Dion's just a special guy in my heart," Kelly said last week. "I had an opportunity to be with him for five years. He came into Oregon as a receiver, moved to tight end, we switched him over to defense the beginning of his sophomore year. He just had a huge impact, not only on the field but off the field."
Cap could now be above $123 million | ProFootballTalk
The NFL’s version of the crop report is expected to be released in the days before free agency begins. And unless the NFL’s version of Clarence Beeks ends up in a gorilla suit (in a gorilla cage with a real gorilla), the NFL’s version of Duke & Duke could be shouting, "Buy! Buy!" when the market opens. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, it’s now believed that the salary cap could exceed $123 million per team.
Fortunately for Eagles, the draft is deep at DT | Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia
Now the Eagles are looking at a rather large hole in the middle of their line. Although general manager Howie Roseman appears confident Antonio Dixon could fill that role, the Eagles should have several options in the draft, which has a deep and talented DT class.
Dallas Cowboys won't join prospective Washington Redskins suit -- source - ESPN Dallas
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will not join Dan Snyder if the Washington Redskins owner files a lawsuit to prevent the start of free agency while challenging the salary-cap penalties imposed on both franchises by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell last year.
Laces Out – NFL on FOX Blog
Wondering where the prospects are from and which high schools they attended? So were we. With help from our friends at Scout.com, Laces Out did a state-by-state breakdown of each NFL Combinee on the original invite list. Unsurprisingly, California, Florida and Texas remain as the major pipelines into the NFL, followed by Georgia, Louisiana and Ohio.
