2013 NFL Mock Draft: Combine changes everything

Check out our 2013 Eagles mock draft central for more opinions on who could be the #4 pick in April.

USA TODAY Sports

Every year when the combine rolls around we hear warnings from draftniks how teams shouldn't overreact to the combine and we hear promises from teams that most of their evaluation is done long before Indianapolis.

And yet every year, guys do rise up actual boards after the combine. Guys that didn't have a lot of buzz beforehand, are hot names afterward (Hi Dontari Poe!). Perhaps most important of all though, previously unknown medical conditions come to light.

The most significant example this year was the revelation that Star Lotulelei has a heart condition. In addition, we learned that guys like Dee Milliner and Dion Jordan would require surgery for shoulder injuries. This kind of news tends to shake up the draft board more than just a slow 40 time.

That news, combined with the increasing rumors that Chiefs may swing a deal for Alex Smith has really shaken up the top of our latest SBNation.com mock draft.
