Eagles vs. Lions Final Score: Philadelphia Runs All Over Detroit in A Snowy Victory, 34-20 - BLG, BGN
My recap from yesterday's Eagles win.

Handing out 10 awards from the Eagles-Lions game - JimmyK, CSN Philly
The Brett Favre Award for Playing Like You're Just Having Fun in the Back Yard: Nick Foles
On his TD throw to DeSean Jackson, Foles said he was throwing to an area where there were two Eagles receivers, and he was just kind of hoping that one of them would catch it. "I saw DeSean back there and I saw Riley coming across and I knew I just needed to throw it in their area," said Foles. "It was one of those things where you saw both of them and you just have to make a play, you have to give both of them an opportunity and they both adjusted well. DeSean came back to the ball, and in that kind of game it's like you are in the back yard like a little kid. You just have to make plays and give them a chance."

Snow Job - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Right now we’re all super happy with the Eagles big win over the Lions. Great game, right? Yes and no. The Eagles trailed 14-0 with 6:37 left in the 3rd quarter. That means that 2 1/2 quarters of the game were not much fun. The Eagles were out-played. Luckily, the Lions were sloppy and unable to take advantage of the situation. It was the middle of the 3rd quarter when the Eagles did come alive and they pounded the Lions with points and yards like Mother Nature did with snow. The beauty of this is that the Eagles didn’t get a bunch of fluke TDs. They weren’t running back Lions fumbles or INTs for crazy scores. The Eagles offense just took over.

Eagles officially the hottest team in the NFL - Andrew Kulp, The700Level
It’s cold outside and there’s snow on the ground, but the Philadelphia Eagles are white hot. With their 34-20 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday, the Birds now own the longest winning streak in the NFL at five games. The Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers were the only two teams that owned longer streaks entering Week 14. Both lost on Sunday, leaving 8-5 Philadelphia as the new torch-bearer.

Kelly Credits Williams For Offensive Tweak - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
"It was funny, Cary Williams was the one who came up to me, and he was like, ‘Coach, this is what you’ve got to do because you can’t make up speed if the guy makes a stick move on you just because of the footing,’ " Kelly said. "Cary was kind of the one, and it’s coming from a defensive guy saying, ‘Hey, if you have an opportunity to either throw a post or throw a corner route, it’s hard to make that up.’ Finally we hit Riley [Cooper] on it. It was almost like that kind of got us going, got our confidence back a little bit, and then we got rolling there."

McCoy's record day a reminder of Van Buren - Mike Sielski, Inquirer
Two years ago, as LeSean McCoy was closing in on the Eagles' single-season touchdown record, the team had arranged a meeting between him and Steve Van Buren. It would have been a natural photo-op, a chance for the franchise's two greatest running backs to link past and present for posterity. A date was set, but the meeting never came off. Van Buren's health had begun to deteriorate, and he was hospitalized on Dec. 18, 2011 - his son-in-law Nathan Pipitone at the bedside - when McCoy scored his 19th touchdown that season to eclipse him.

Nick Foles flourishes in the face of adversity - Geoff Mosher, CSN Philly
In the end, the statistics revealed a very pedestrian game for Nick Foles. He threw for the second-fewest yards of his career in a game he started and finished. He registered his lowest completion percentage since the Oct. 20 nightmare against Dallas and third-lowest of his 13 career starts. He completed just 11 passes, tied for second-fewest of the season. He threw his first interception in nearly a year and missed out on tying Peyton Manning’s record for touchdown passes to start a season without an interception. But here’s what matters most: In his first game ever in the snow, in a game where he could barely complete a first-half pass, in just his second meaningful December game as a starting quarterback, Foles won.

Snow Bowl Described By The Players - Bo Wulf, PE.com
It was, quite simply, one of the most memorable games in Eagles history. Joining the likes of the Fog Bowl, the Meadowlands Miracles and the rest, the Eagles' 34-20 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday will now forever be known as The Snow Bowl. What made the afternoon all the more special was the unexpectedness of it all. There was no expectation that a ridiculous eight inches of snow would befall Lincoln Financial Field and there was no expectation once the game began that the Eagles would roar back from a 14-point deficit to score 20 unanswered fourth-quarter points on the legs of a record-setting day by LeSean McCoy. But what was it like to actually play in a driving snowstorm? We'll let the experts take it from here …
