The Eagles released their first injury report of the week on Wednesday as they prepare for their match-up against the Detroit Lions this upcoming Sunday.

Four Eagles players did not participate in practice. Defensive end Clifton Geathers is healthy but was excused from practice for personal reasons. Both Najee Goode and Jeff Maehl were held out of practice due to injury. Goode is dealing with a hamstring issue. Maehl left Sunday's game with a head injury, and Chip Kelly confirmed Maehl suffered a concussion. Maehl will have to pass concussion testing before he can return to action. Both Goode and Maehl are contributors on the Eagles special teams unit.

The most significant injuries is the one that has kept rookie starting safety Earl Wolff out of practice since the Eagles-Packers game. Wolff is suffering from a knee injury and isn't expected to be back until next week (12/15 at the Vikings) at the earliest, and possibly longer. Veteran safety Patrick Chung will start in Wolff's place.

As far as Detroit's injury report goes:

Those are some pretty significant losses if they can't play, but it seems like they are all being held out for precautionary reasons, according to the Detroit Free Press. All three players are dealing with sore knees.
