NFL Power Rankings 2013: Final Edition

Now that 2013 NFL regular season is over, it's that time to see where all 32 teams rank for one last time. For reference purposes, here is a link to last week's NFL Power Rankings.

The Eagles finished off the season strong and clinched the NFC East with a win over the Cowboys.

Let's dive right in.

BLG's FINAL POWER RANKINGS

1) Denver Broncos (Last Week: 1) - Peyton Manning's Broncos finished the season scoring a ridiculous clip of ~38 points scored per game. Denver owns the league's best point differential at +207.

2) Seattle Seahawks (LW: 2) - Seattle is the best team in the best division in the NFL. Surely that's something to hang your hat on. Their defense allowed a league low 14.4 points per game.

3) Carolina Panthers (LW: 3) - The Panthers really stepped up in 2013. That Carolina defense, headlined by second year linebacker Luke Kuechly and a stout defensive line, is the real deal.

4) San Francisco 49ers (LW: 4) - The 49ers are the hottest team in football heading into the playoffs having won six straight games in a row.

5) New England Patriots (LW: 5) - The Pats didn't need work too too hard to win the AFC East this year, but they did earn a first round bye. Bill Belichick has done a good job with this roster.

6) Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 7) - Cincy is 8-0 at home their year heading into a first round playoff match-up against the Chargers.

7) New Orleans Saints (LW: 8) - The Saints are great at home (8-0) but have a losing road record (3-5). New Orleans beat the Bucs to end the season which left them 2-3 in their last five games.

8) Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 10) - The Eagles were one of three teams to beat the Cowboys in Dallas this year. The other two teams were the Broncos and Packers in close games. Philadelphia is playing well and no one should want to face them in the playoffs.

9) Arizona Cardinals (LW: 6) - Unfortunately for Bruce Arians and his pro style offense, the Cards aren't in the post-season. Instead, they're the best team to not make the playoffs.

10) Indianapolis Colts (LW: 11) - Best team in the worst division. The AFC South finished with a total point differential of -317. This Colts squad is hard to place: they've had some quality wins this year but also drop some games.

11) Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 9) - You have to give credit to the Chiefs backups for playing the Chargers' starters tough in the season finale. My concern with Andy Reid's Chiefs is that they have two wins since November 3rd, and both came against teams picking in the top five of the 2014 NFL Draft. KC has beaten one team with a winning record all year, which was the Eagles in Week 3.

12) San Diego Chargers (LW: 12) - The Chargers barely got by the Chiefs backups but ultimately finished the job to earn the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoffs.

13) Green Bay Packers (LW: 19) - The return of Aaron Rodgers is a big boost for the Packers as they clinched the NFC North with a win over the Bears in Chicago. It's amazing how the rest of the NFC North failed to put the division away while Rodgers recovered.

14) Chicago Bears (LW: 13) - A blown coverage and a blown opportunity to clinch the NFC North for the second straight week in a row. No playoffs for Da Bears, a team that scored the second most points in the NFL this year.

15) Baltimore Ravens (LW: 14) - No playoffs for the defending Super Bowl champions. Baltimore missed the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

16) Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 18) - Should the Steelers be in the playoffs?

17) St. Louis Rams (LW: 15) - The Rams had the misfortune of playing in the best division in the NFL this year. At least they have a very high draft pick from Washington to look forward to.

18) Miami Dolphins (LW: 16) - Blew it. The Dolphins had a reasonable shot to make the playoffs with a home win over the Jets, who have been a bad road team. They couldn't get the job done.

19) Dallas Cowboys (LW: 17) -

20) New York Giants (LW: 21) - Take it away, JimmyK: "The Giants started 0-6, Eli led the NFL in INTs & had a 69.4 QB rating, a slew of guys got hurt, and all they get is the 12th overall pick."

21) New York Jets (LW: 24) - Somehow Rex Ryan helped this team get to 8 wins. The Jets are way worse than that .500 record indicates.

22) Tennessee Titans (LW: 20) - Worst team that finished second overall in their division.

23) Detroit Lions (LW: 22) - Jim "Gym Shorts" Schwartz has been fired and rightfully so. The Lions had a great chance to take the NFC North by command with a 6-3 record. Instead, they finished the season 7-9.

24) Minnesota Vikings (LW: 25) - Leslie Frazier is out in Minny and the Vikings no longer will play in the Metrodome.

25) Buffalo Bills (LW: 23) - Rough season, but Doug Marrone has some young pieces to work with moving forward. Can E.J. Manuel be Buffalo's answer at QB?

26) Atlanta Falcons (LW: 28) - Tony Gonzalez played his last game on Sunday as the Falcons ended their season on a two game losing streak. They showed some fight in those losses, so I'll move them up a little.

27) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 26) - Greg Schiano and Mark Dominik are out in Tampa.

28) Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 27) - The Gus Bus has a rough first year. The Jags actually finished worse than last year somehow according to Football Outsider's DVOA metric.

29) Cleveland Browns (LW: 29) - Chud is out after only one year in Cleveland. Joe Banner strikes again.

30) Oakland Raiders (LW: 30) - Oakland is going to have a lot of cap space to work with this upcoming offseason.

31) Washington Redskins (LW: 31) - What a disaster. DC fans can take solace in the fact that Mike Shanahan is gone, but about that first round draft pick...

32) Houston Texans (LW: 32) - The Texans had two wins all year. They were both comeback wins. This team easily could have gone 0-16. "With the first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select..."
