Only three Eagles players did not participate in Thursday's practice. Backup center Julian Vandervelde sat out again with a back injury. When asked what caused the injury, Vandervelde confirmed he was "attacked by ninjas." If Vandervelde can't play, his backup center role will be filled by starting left guard Evan Mathis. Speaking of Mathis, the Eagles' Pro Bowl caliber offensive lineman was missing from Thursday's practice with a minor illness. Mathis should be ready for Sunday's game. A player that won't likely be ready for Sunday is safety and special team contributor Colt Anderson. He is still dealing with a knee injury that prevented him from playing last week.
As for the players listed as full participation, rookie safety Earl Wolff is the most notable injury to keep an eye on. After Thursday's practice, Wolff spoke with the media. Despite practicing for the third straight day, Wolff doesn't seem optimistic about his chances. "To accelerate, to drive the way I want to, I'm just feeling pain right now. For real, it's frustrating," Wolff said. It appears Wolff's knee injury is still sore.
As for the Cowboys, Dallas still won't officially rule out injured quarterback Tony Romo. All indications are that Romo won't play, but Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett seems to be hoping for a miracle. One player who will definitely miss Sunday's game is Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee. Lee was ruled out, per an ESPN report, on Wednesday.
Another player who did not practice on Thursday was Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. Bryant is dealing with a back injury but said there is "no doubt" he plays against the Eagles.
