Eagles Injury Report: Kurt Coleman, Colt Anderson Miss Practice

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Every player on the Eagles' Thursday injury report was listed as a full participant in practice except for two: Colt Anderson and Kurt Coleman. Both safeties are dealing with injuries that are putting their game status in question. Coleman was used in rotation with Patrick Chung against the Vikings before leaving with an injury. Anderson played a few snaps on defense but is better utilized on special teams only. Coleman also contributes on special teams.

The injuries to Coleman and Anderson leave four healthy safeties on the roster: Nate Allen, Earl Wolff, Patrick Chung, and recently promoted rookie Keelan Johnson. Johnson will likely be active on game day in order to fill in on special teams for Anderson/Coleman.

In other news, cornerback Brandon Boykin was cleared to return to practice after passing mandatory concussion testing. Boykin was a full participant in practice after missing the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions. That's certainly an encouraging sign.

Both Earl Wolff and Najee Goode figure to make their returns from injury this week. Wolff will likely start at safety and Goode will resume his special teams role.
