The first one. Howard Mudd's Wham play. Casey is the whammer. Jason Peters does what Jason Peters does, in this case blocks two guys.
Casey slips as he starts across and almost falls. Peters and Mathis are doubling the DT. The DE appears unblocked.
Wham on the DE. Peters has left the DT to Mathis and has come off on the LB. How Shady can make this cut, I don't know.
But he does. Check out Cooper who blocked his ass off all game.
The play:
Comes the fourth quarter, um, avalanche. Showing inside zone to the offensive left.
The Eagles double both tackles.
Johnson comes off Suh and goes for Tulloch. Kelce comes off Fairley and goes for Levy. Quin looks like he's closing the back door.
Is that a hole or is that a hole?
And, of course, hurdling the safety. How does he do that?
Next. Again, showing inside zone left. Mathis has slipped and fallen.
Looks like Shady is going to go straight up the hash marks and get what he can.
But no. Kelce has two guys walled off and Shady makes the cut behind Herremans.
And Mathis gets a piece of Tulloch while sitting on his ass.
Shady pops into the open. And Avant gives him a fabulous block.
Which is worth another look.
The play:
Showing inside zone right.
Both LBs look to close the hole, so another one opens up for Shady, right?
Except...Celek completely caves the DE in and Shady has the patience to wait for the block. And Shady cuts up inside the safety.
Wrong again. He goes outside, while safety waves futilely.
Then jukes the other safety too.
The play:
We all remember Celek's reception and slide to seal the game, but this is the reason they called that play.
Showing inside zone left. One of the few times Foles did a true read, on the DE, who crashes.
Foles pulls it, but he's looking to throw. The safety is now between a rock and a hard place. He elects to cover Celek...
So Foles keeps. Later, he'll throw because the safety comes up, but this post is about running.
The play, and check out Celek blocking both safeties:
Bryce Brown's run and a fabulous job by Celek and Johnson. Showing inside zone left.
Johnson absolutely destroys Suh on this play, while Celek is eating up Young.
And Brown busts it up inside the safety.
The play:
We started with the Wham play; it's only right that we end with it. Showing inside zone right with Casey stacked behind Celek.
The safety crashes...
And gets crushed
It looks like a complete mess in the middle...
But the Red (well, Silver and Blue) Sea parts.
And Polk is gone:
O line blocking doesn't get better than that.
