Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson fined $7,875 for face mask penalty

Jackson was fined for committing a face mask penalty committed on Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King.

Bob Stanton-USA TODAY Sports

According to a report from Ian Rapoport, DeSean Jackson is facing a $7,875 fine due to a face mask penalty committed in the Raiders game last Sunday. The play occurred after a dazzling 32 yard return by Jackson. As Jackson was running out of bounds, he grabbed and pulled onto the face mask of Raiders' punter Marquette King. King was pursuing Jackson in an effort to tackle him and/or push him out of bounds. The referees correctly threw the yellow flag and penalized the Eagles 15 yards.

Jackson was filling in for an injured Damaris Johnson, who usually returns punts and kicks.
