Eagles-Raiders Week 9 Snap Counts

Here's a look at how often each player saw the field in the Eagles victory over the Raiders.

Brian Bahr

These are the snap counts from the Philadelphia Eagles 49-20 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

OFFENSE

Name Offense Percentage
Evan Mathis 59 100%
Todd Herremans 59 100%
Lane Johnson 59 100%
Jason Kelce 54 92%
Nick Foles 51 86%
LeSean McCoy 45 76%
DeSean Jackson 43 73%
Jason Peters 42 71%
Brent Celek 39 66%
Riley Cooper 36 61%
Zach Ertz 35 59%
Jason Avant 29 49%
Jeff Maehl 21 36%
Allen Barbre 17 29%
James Casey 16 27%
Damaris Johnson 15 25%
Bryce Brown 14 24%
Matt Barkley 8 14%
Julian Vandervelde 5 8%
Chris Polk 2 3%

The numbers are skewed to an extent because Chip Kelly pulled his starters later in the game when the Eagles were up big. That said, there are some interesting things of note. Zach Ertz and Brent Celek each played a healthy amount of snaps. The Eagles showed more 12 personnel looks (2 tight ends) than they have recently. Jason Avant's snaps, therefore, became the casualty. He played a season low 49%.

DEFENSE

Name Defense Percentage
Connor Barwin 79 83%
Bradley Fletcher 75 79%
Cary Williams 75 79%
DeMeco Ryans 75 79%
Mychal Kendricks 72 76%
Trent Cole 67 71%
Nate Allen 61 64%
Earl Wolff 60 63%
Fletcher Cox 55 58%
Brandon Boykin 54 57%
Patrick Chung 51 54%
Bennie Logan 39 41%
Cedric Thornton 38 40%
Clifton Geathers 34 36%
Vinny Curry 34 36%
Damion Square 31 33%
Brandon Graham 28 29%
Emmanuel Acho 23 24%
Kurt Coleman 20 21%
Najee Goode 20 21%
Roc Carmichael 20 21%
Colt Anderson 18 19%
Casey Matthews 16 17%

Just like the offensive snap counts, these numbers are skewed to an extent. Patrick Chung finally returned to the active game day roster, but even though he didn't start, he still played more than half the snaps. The Eagles like utilize a three man rotation of Allen, Wolff, and Chung at safety. Bennie Logan started at nose tackle in place of the recently traded Isaac Sopoaga. Logan played a season high 41% of the snaps.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Damaris Johnson was active for the game but didn't play because he was missed time in practice this week with an injury. DeSean Jackson took over at punt returner for a majority of the game and Brandon Boykin was placed on kick return duty.

Among the players with the most ST snaps: James Casey, Chris Polk, Brandon Boykin, Brandon Graham, Zach Ertz, Colt Anderson, Casey Matthews, Najee Goode, Roc Carmichael, Emmanuel Acho, Nate Allen, Alex Henery, Jon Dorenbos, Donnie Jones.

---------

The following Eagles players were inactive for the game: Michael Vick, Dennis Kelly, Matt Tobin, Jake Knott, Matthew Tucker, B.J. Cunningham.
