Eagles Linebacker Najee Goode fined $10,000 for hit to helmet

Rich Schultz

According to Tim McManus, Eagles linebacker is facing a $10,000 fine for a hit to the helmet of Green Bay Packers quarterback Scott Tolzien.

Goode will appeal the fine. The event occurred early in the fourth quarter when Goode was rushing the passer. Goode's hand hit Tolzien's helmet, and the referees threw a flag for roughing the passer. It was a 15 yard penalty. Here's a GIF of the play:

Goode, usually a backup and special teams contributor, was forced to play in place of injured starter Mychal Kendricks.
