A.J. Green and Julio Jones. Demaryius Thomas and Dez Bryant. The two aforementioned pairs both came from the same draft class in the last five years. In this year's draft class, there is potentially five or six guys who can be top tier NFL wide receivers. That is no exaggeration, this may be the best wide receiver class in NFL history when it is all said and done. Luckily for the Eagles, addressing the position through the draft this year will be a lot easier than year's past with all the talent available. Normally, my rankings are top 15, but since this class is so deep, there are 20 players on this list. Keep in mind, there is a lot of tape to be watched, and by no means are these rankings final.
The Eagles will definitely draft at least one wide receiver in the upcoming draft, maybe even two should they let Jeremy Maclin walk in free agency. If Maclin walks, the Eagles could potentially draft a wide receiver in the second round. Look for Allen Robinson or Jordan Matthews to be on the Eagles' radar. Depending on where the Eagles draft, if by some chance Sammy Watkins or Mike Evans is available, Chip Kelly and/or Howie Roseman may pull the trigger. Top tier wide receiver talent is hard to pass up. Personally, I believe the Eagles should address other needs first then select a receiver later in the draft. Cody Hoffman or Devin Street should be available in day two or three and would be great fits for the Eagles.
