Michael Vick injury: QB expected to miss Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, per report

Phil Sears-USA TODAY Sports

It appears that Michael Vick will miss at least one game this season. The veteran quarterback is expected to miss Week 6's matchup against the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay on Sunday with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN's Adam SchefterFOX 29's Howard Eskin had a similar report last night regarding Vick's status for Sunday.

The injury was suffered during Week 5's 36-21 win over the Giants in the second quarter. Vick pulled up on a run as he went out of bounds and favored his hamstring. He returned for the next series but seemed uncomfortable in the pocket and headed to the sideline. Second-year quarterback Nick Foles entered the game just before halftime and led the Eagles on a field goal drive. Foles finished 16-of-25 for 197 yards and two touchdowns, while leading four scoring drives.

Foles will get the start against the Buccaneers if Vick is unable to perform. The former Arizona Wildcat's only win as a starter came in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers with a last second touchdown to wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

There is still no official word as to whether Vick will practice this week or if he will be designated as "out" prior to practice.
