Report: Nick Foles to start against Oakland Raiders

A report from Howard Eskin states that Nick Foles will be cleared to return from his concussion inury.

According to a report from Howard Eskin, Nick Foles will start on Sunday when the Eagles travel out west to take on the Oakland Raiders.

Kelly gave an update on the injured quarterbacks earlier today. He told the media that Foles had taken his imPACT test (concussion testing), but the team was still waiting on results. If Eskin's report is true, it's apparent Foles has passed his testing and has been cleared to return to action.

Kelly also made it clear that Vick was unlikely to return any time soon due to the hamstring re-injury the QB suffered against the Giants. Vick had an MRI on his hamstring on Monday.

This news means that Matt Barkley will likely not be making his first career start on Sunday. It was looking like the rookie would start if Foles and Vick couldn't play. Instead, he will be the backup QB.

Foles first saw major snaps this season when he replaced an injured Vick against the Giants in Week 5. The second year went on to play well vs. the Buccaneers before putting on a terrible performance in Week 7 against the Cowboys.

Foles will start his third game of this season on Sunday.
