Eagles vs. Cowboys 2013: Game Predictions

How are you feeling about this one?

Beat Dallas.

That's the only thing that matters on Sunday. It's time for the Philadelphia Eagles to show if they are serious about winning the NFC East or not. Sunday is all about opportunity. Philadelphia and Dallas are tied in the standings in multiple ways. The NFC East is looking like a two team race, and the Eagles can gain a favorable edge on their rivals with a win at home.

Speaking of home wins, it's already been said a thousand times, but the Eagles haven't won at the Linc in forever. It's time to break that streak today. Chip Kelly's first win in Philly as Eagles head coach couldn't come at a better time than against the Cowboys.

It won't be easy. Despite the narrative, Tony Romo is a tough quarterback to face. The Cowboys offense is dynamic and the Eagles defense will have their hands full trying to contain it. Meanwhile, Nick Foles has an opportunity to play well as a starter for the second straight week. Philadelphia is going to need to put up points to beat their rivals, so it's up to Foles to answer the call of duty.

Will the Eagles step up to the plate or falter? I expect a close game that comes down to the wire, but it could really go either way.

For what it's worth, all of the BGN writers picked the Eagles to win today except for one. (BOO.)
