It's unofficially official: Michael Vick will not play against this week.
In an interesting, unprecedented joint-QB press session after Eagles practice on Thursday, Vick announced he would not be playing against the Cowboys on Sunday.

The health of the veteran Eagles QB has been in doubt ever since he pulled his hamstring against the Giants. Chip Kelly spoke before Thursday's practice and said he would not rule Vick out just yet, but Vick made this statement after practice nevertheless. "Cross my heart [that I won't play]," Vick reassured the media.
It was never likely that Vick was going to be healthy enough to play anyway. Reports earlier in the week indicated Vick was unlikely to take the field. The fact that he announced it himself though is harmlessly funny.
The dynamic between Vick and Foles seems to be genuine. Despite being competitors, there's no sense that they don't like each other. Vick and Nick, best friends for life.
That was a very entertaining press conference. I don't sense that the mutual admiration between Vick and Foles in an act.

Update: Tim McManus reports that Vick told him he will possibly be out another week or two.
I asked Vick: what's realistic for your return? "Next week, maybe the week after," he said.

Vick's comments are in line with what a league source recently told me, that this is a 3-4 week injury.
