The Eagles have added a receiver. He's a familiar face.
#Eagles WR B.J. Cunningham has been signed to the active roster. TE Emil Igwenagu has been released.

Cunningham was originally signed to the Eagles practice squad after being cut by the Dolphins in September 2012. He spent the whole season on the practice squad and entered 2013 training camp with the team. Then, early in camp, he suffered a foot injury. That caused him to miss time before ultimately being released with an injury settlement in early August.
I was excited to see if Cunningham could show anything in camp. He was enjoyable to watch during his time at MSU. It was too bad he couldn't stay healthy. But now the 6-2, 211 lb receiver is back. It sounds like the Eagles simply wanted more depth at the WR position.
The corresponding move of Cunningham's signing was Emil Igwenagu's release. Emil also spent 2012 on the Eagles practice squad. After having watched him daily in training camp, I was surprised to see Igwenagu make the Philadelphia's final roster. The Eagles said they kept him for his "blocking". Emil was inactive for all six games games this year.
