The Eagles have already interviewed Mike Nolan and Keith Armstrong of the Falcons and have now confirmed their third official interview in their search for Andy Reid's replacement. The team will meet with Broncos' OC Mike McCoy on Sunday.
We have discussed McCoy ad-nauseum in recent weeks and identified him as our top ranked NFL assistant. If you haven't been following or would like to know why he's our #1 NFL guy, be sure to check out our full profile.
McCoy may very well be the last assistant from the crop of playoff bye teams the Eagles speak with. They met with the Falcons guys already, there are no notable candidates of interest on the Patriots, McCoy is with Denver and for whatever reason we haven't heard much about the 49ers assistants.
The next bits of news we are likely to hear will be about college guys, specifically Chip Kelly, Bill O'Brien & Doug Marrone. However, after wild card weekend the assistants for losing teams will become available.
That means guys like Mike Zimmer, Darrell Bevell, Kyle Shanahan, Jay Gruden, the Packers guys...
As for the guys that win, they may be out of luck in terms of getting a head job. Expect a lot head gigs to be filled by this time next week.
