Pro Bowl 2013 preview, time, rosters and more

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 Pro Bowl kicks off this evening in what should be an incredibly exciting event. If you enjoy watching lineman chat with each other while the offense plays 7 on 7, then this really is the game for you!

Having said that, I don't really get the complaints about the Pro Bowl and the constant calls to "fix it." Yes, the game is awful, but it's always been awful. This isn't like baseball where once upon a time the all star game was something that was competitive. The Pro Bowl has always just been a vacation where guys give little to no effort. And despite that, 12 million people still watch it.

And taking it a step further, do we even want a competitive Pro Bowl? There are no Eagles in Hawaii this year, but if there were I certainly wouldn't want them in a game where people are actually trying to hit and tackle.

So leave the Pro Bowl as it is. Or get rid of it. I don't really care that much. It is what it has always been.
