LeSean McCoy certainly had an interesting Saturday night- and one he is almost certainly going to have to answer to the Eagles about.
In a tirade between the two, McCoy was accused of having herpes, not paying child support, having a small package and being a "dead beat dad". McCoy lashed back out at his baby's mom- Steph- saying she was just trying to use him for his money. He also called her a "dirty alley girl".
You can read some of the tweets from Steph here. McCoy has since deleted his Twitter account, simply tweeting "hacked" before he did.
Before this turns into a debate about whether this is news or TMZ worthy, I think it's safe to say that there is going to be back lash on McCoy for this. Athletes getting in Twitter wars is nothing new, but McCoy calling the mother of his baby a "dirty alley girl" , a "waste of life" and "worthless" is not going to go over well. McCoy is also the Eagles best player and in many ways the face of the team.
It will be interesting to see where this goes from here. McCoy will likely issue a statement and chances are the Eagles are going to want to at least talk to him about this. It's unlikely the NFL will get involved but with Roger Goodell you never know. It will also be interesting to see if Chip Kelly does anything. This is his first semi-test as head coach to see how he is going to let his players act outside of football.
Do you think McCoy will or should be penalized for this? Does it make you think any less of him?
