There has been some movement in the past hour or so regarding a former Eagles coach and a candidate for the same job in the future.
We'll start with Andy Reid, who despite rumors that he's about to sign in Arizona, is actually being interviewed by the Kansas City Chiefs today. The KC contingent has reportedly flown here to Philadelphia to meet with Reid, who is still scheduled to head to Arizona for an interview tomorrow.
Reid does have a connection to KC in the form of team president Mark Donovan, who spent several year with the Eagles as Senior VP of operations. He did not work on the football side, but obviously he and Reid would be well familiar with one another.
As for the Eagles own coaching search, you can cross Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter off the list. He signed a contract extension today and the team announced that he will not pursue head coaching opportunities this year.
