The Eagles disastrous 4-12 campaign that ended the 14 reign of Andy Reid in Philadelphia hasn't turned out to be so bad for the coaching staff that helped engineer it.
As we know, Andy Reid was out of a job for about 5 minutes and is now head coach of the Chiefs.
But the latest news is that the coordinators have found jobs as well. New Cardinals coach Bruce Arians will reportedly hire Todd Bowles as his defensive coordinator. Bowles was a captain on Arians team when he coached at Temple.
It's also now been confirmed that Marty Mornhinweg has been hired as the offensive coordinator of the New Jets.
It's good to be part of the good old boys network!
Now, to be fair, it's not as if these guys aren't qualified. Andy has along resume of success in the NFL and it certainly makes sense that he'd get another shot. The Eagles did break a couple of franchise scoring records with Marty Mornhinweg calling the plays and he did play a big part in Michael Vick's MVP runner up 2010 season. And Todd Bowles, was really thrown into an impossible situation being asked to take over a defense midseason that wasn't his scheme and still featured Jim Washburn & Jason Babin doing whatever they wanted.
Still, no one is out of work except, of course, Juan Castillo who very well may be the guy that least deserves to be. He has been taking interviews for offensive line coaching gigs around the league, so hopefully he'll get one.
