Giants WR Hakeem Nicks never looked likely to play in this weekend's game against the Eagles and now its official. The Giants announced today that he will not make the trip to Philly with the team and has been officially ruled out for Sunday.
Nicks has been battling both knee & foot injuries suffered in week 2 against Tampa.
"It's something we have to deal with," said Victor Cruz. "Guys get injured, guys get nicked up, but we've just got to understand that we've been here before and guys have stepped up."
Nicks actually did not have a major impact in 2 games against the Eagles last season with 3 catches for 25 yards in the first game and another 3 catches for 69 yards in the second.
The Giants are pretty beat up coming into this game having already ruled out tackle David Diehl (knee), CB Jayron Hosley (hamstring) and LB Keith Rivers (hamstring).
Safety Antrel Rolle (knee) and cornerback Michael Coe (hamstring) are both listed as questionable. Reports say that Rolle likely will play, while Coe probably will not.
New York will get back WR Domenik Hixon (concussion) and RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck).
