If you watched ESPN at all last week, you no doubt caught one of the billions time they ran video of Tim Tebow running around Jets camp with his shirt off. Just when you think ESPN couldn't take its Tebow absurdity to a new level, they do.
And it hasn't stopped. They're covering the sideshow at Jets camp daily. And it is a sideshow in every sense of the word. The Jets have Tim Tebow covering punts on special teams. He's literally there is in his red QB jersey doing special teams drills. It's as silly as it sounds.
Meanwhile, Eli Manning and the Giants, who just.. ya know, won the Super Bowl get ignored. Manning noticed this and had a little fun at ESN & Tebow's expense.
"Whenever you turn on the TV, it’s the Jets. SportsCenter is just camped out at the Jets’ complex. I think they’re moving everything from Bristol to right over at the Jets’ complex there. That’ll be an interesting move," Manning said while appearing on ESPN Radio New York 97.7 FM.
Manning, however, offered a solution.
"I told David Carr to take his shirt off while we were running sprints after practice,to see if he can get the same coverage."
David Carr is, of course, the Giants backup QB. Well played Eli.
