Nnamdi Asomugha was back in practice today, three days after a collision with Nate Allen at Lehigh left him with a sore neck and lacerated lip.

[Note by JasonB, 08/16/12 4:00 PM EDT ] Strike that! Nnamdi left practice shortly after it started. Word is that his neck is still sore.

Other injured Eagles Trent Cole and Brent Celek have returned in recent days as well, so it seems like the beat up Eagles are finally getting healthy. With the hitting portion of camp over, everyone should begin to heal up before the season.

Jason Babin is the one real notable name still out. Andy Reid said he has a shot to play in the final preseason game. Rookie G Brandon Washington has been cleared after suffering a concussion earlier in camp and could see action Monday against the Patriots.

Casey Matthews picked up a mild high ankle sprain and will not practice. Mike Kafka could be back by the final preseason game, but he won't play against the Patriots. Nick Foles will be the #2 QB in that game. Andy Reid says he's been impressed with Foles' grasp of the offense so far.

"Well, listen, I think what you look at with any rookie is, are they getting better every day. He seems to be doing that and is more comfortable. We've got a load of plays in for him and he's able to recite those properly. Now it is just making sure he's got everybody down and that comes with reps but I would tell you we knew he was smart coming in and he hasn't disappointed us in that area. He's a pretty sharp kid, very diligent, works hard, and all of those things."
