Andy Reid met the media after this morning's walk-through at Eagles camp and updated the injury news for a couple of notable Eagles.

First, he said that Brent Celek, who suffered a mild MCL sprain last week, was running again and is "close" to returning. However, he still has some issues cutting. So until he feels comfortable there, he'll continue to be day to day.

Reid also revealed that Trent Cole hurt his AC joint on Monday and has been getting treatment. Andy didn't have a specific timetable for his return, but said he was day to day. They're just waiting for some swelling in his shoulder to go down.

With Cole out for at least today and Babin still a couple weeks away, the Eagles stable of young defense ends have a great opportunity to get extra snaps and show what they can do. Reid said that if the weather cooperated, this afternoon will be another rough practice like the one we saw on Monday. So the likes of Brandon Graham, Vinny Curry & Phillip Hunt should get a lot of opportunities to work with the top units.

"Those guys now have an opportunity to get more reps," Andy Reid said today. "We always preach that every rep you get is an opportunity to show what you can do and be able to better yourself as a professional football player. When another man gets hurt it gives you an opportunity."

We've also even seen Cullen Jenkins working at DE in a few sets. So while you never want to see injuries, having the vets sit out for a few days at a very deeply stocked position isn't so bad.
