The Eagles worked out rookie WR Travis Cobb this morning at Lehigh according to multiple reports.
Cobb, a 6'0 180 lb receiver from Arizona, is likely just another training camp body to fill in with Riley Cooper out with a fractured collarbone.
No word yet on if the Eagles plan on signing Cobb.
UPDATE: I talked to Cobb after his workout this morning with the Eagles. He said that he felt the coaches were impressed with his speed and wanted him to return kicks, but didn't have a kicker to test him with.
Cobb also mentioned that he dropped some balls he usually would catch, but overall he felt the workout went ok.
Not exactly earth shattering stuff, and the people I talked to insinuated that a signing was not imminent. My guess is Cobb will only be back if an injury happens, which it did today with WR Ron Johnson, who looks to have broken his ankle.
