Vick Doesn't Back Down From Dynasty Comment

Say what you will about Vick, but don't say he isn't confident.

Given the chance to back down from his comments days earlier saying the Eagles had the "potential to be a dynasty", Vick didn't bite.

"That's just me speaking in confidence," said Vick today as he arrived at Lehigh for training camp. "It's just how I feel. I feel you have to speak it into existence. Aim for the stars, and even if you miss you'll be amongst them. That's gotta be out mindset. But it all starts on the practice field."

Vick went on to say that he isn't sure why his comment became such a story, and that sometimes people can "make so much out of so little."

Listening to Vick speak, it's clear that the motive behind his comments was a deep, deep belief in his teammates- and it's easy to see why. Their is so much young talent around him, it's hard to blame him for being confident. Vick's teammates look up to him, and unlike last year when Vince Young made an off the cuff remark about the "Dream Team", Vick made his statement with a purpose.

Vick believes, and he wants his teammates to believe with him.

"We all strive for something," Vick said. "And we're striving to be the best."
