PETA: 'Vick Should Never Be Allowed Within 50 Feet Of A Dog'

This Friday Michael Vick will be allowed to once again own a dog, as his three year probation comes to an end.

Needless to say, PETA president Ingrid E. Newkirk was not to happy about this, according to Dan Gelston of the Associated Press.

"PETA knows from first hand experience that Michael Vick is a selfish man and a proven liar....probably a psychopath, who if he had one grain of remorse as long as he lives. Just as convicted pedophiles aren't allowed free access to childen, anyone who is responsible for hanging, electrocuting, and shooting dogs and who caused them to suffer in unimaginable ways should never again be allowed to be within 50 feet of a dog"

Michael Vick has done a lot to prevent dog fighting since his release from jail, but obviously that was not enough for Newkirk.

It is statements like these that are a prime reason why releasing a book might not have been the best idea for Vick, as it is just bringing his past back into the spotlight.

It is also just a taste- fair or unfair- of the public backlash Vick will face if he decides to get a dog.
