Who would have thought tickets bring sent out in the mail could ever be news worthy?

While it might not make the front page of any newspaper, the Eagles had two surprises for season ticket holders who recently received their tickets.

First, Brian Dawkins graces the September 20th ticket against the New York Giants, the game in which a special half time ceremony will honor one of the greatest players in Eagles history. Dawkins will also have his number retired during the ceremony.

The other Eagles players featured on the tickets this year are (in order): Todd Herremans, DeMeco Ryans, Michael Vick, Dawkins, Jason Babin, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, Nnamdi Asomugha, Jeremy Maclin, and Trent Cole.

Second, the Eagles have teamed up with Aurasma video to create a pretty cool feature on the tickets this year. Anyone who has an iPhone or Android and can download the Eagles official app can now watch video content through their tickets. The video on the tickets will be updated throughout the season.

The Eagles are the first ones in the NFL to try it.
