One of the under the radar injury issues last season were those suffered by Brent Celek. He got off to a slow start last year, but finished strong with 62 catches and 5 TDs. Those numbers are even more impressive when you consider what he was playing through, both a sports hernia and a torn labrum. The Eagles TE had surgery to correct both and says he's feeling a lot better this year.
"I can already tell running routes that I've got something back," said Celek. "I feel a lot better than I did at this time last year, a whole lot better."
Celek wasn't expected to be at the teams' OTAs last week, but he said he felt good enough that there was no good reason to skip OTAs.
"I have my ups and downs that I have to work through right now just because (I'm) coming off surgery, but I want to be out here with the guys, do as much as I can do while being smart about it," Celek said. "I do feel a lot different. It's a lot easier to run now, a lot more (enjoyable). I feel like I'm fixed now."
