The Eagles have extended a second round level tender offer to restricted free agent Antonio Dixon. It will pay him $1.927 million and give the Eagles 7 days to match or take a second round pick should any other team sign him to a deal. That means it's all but certain he'll be back.
Dixon was always meant to play a key part as a run stopper last year, but was lost for the year in late September with torn triceps. His emergence last year was certainly a part of what made Brodrick Bunkley expendable. So his return next year should be a boost to a run defense.
The NFL's free agency period begins tomorrow at 4pm.
