The Eagles will make a decision on what to do with DeSean Jackson in the next 7 days. How do I know this? Because they have no choice.
The NFL's deadline to franchise a player is Monday, March 5th at 4pm. So prior to then, the Eagles will have to either sign him to a new deal, franchise him or let him hit the open market.
Every piece of information we've got on this suggests that at the very least DeSean will get the tag and the Eagles will not let a major asset walk away for nothing.
Based simply on what I think, here is what could happen in order of how likely.
1) He plays this year under the franchise tag, 2) they sign him to a long term deal, 3) he is "tagged & traded," 4) he walks away for nothing.
