Colt Anderson will get his first start at safety today with Kurt Coleman inactive vs. Tampa Bay.
There were no surprises on the inactive list for the Eagles as Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, Kurt Coleman, Matt Kopa, Greg Salas, Chris Polk, and Mike Patterson are all inactive today.
With Coleman out and Anderson getting the start, expect the Bucs to go after Anderson in coverage. Anderson might be an ace on special teams, but he is a big liability in coverage. That being said, it's hard to imagine the play of the safeties getting any worse. Whether he struggles or not, it will be good for the Eagles to at least get a look at Anderson in extended play at safety.
After being signed to the active roster yesterday, Ryan Rau is active and will likely see time today on special teams.
