Let's nickname some 2012 Eagles

The Walrus!

US PRESSWIRE

So we have a new series we're doing here on the site sponsored by Gillette where we talk about some hot topic debate question, this week it's "who has the best nickname in the NFL?" You can go register your vote on their Facebook page.

But in the spirit of the question I wanted to think of some Eagles nicknames. Certainly though the team's history there's been some good ones. Reggie White, "the Minister of Defense." Brian Dawkins, "Weapon X." Andre "Dirty" Waters. Earle "Greasy" Neale. And probably the best "Concrete" Chuck Bednarick.

Some were ones that the players probably didn't like, such as Izel "toast" Jenkins.

But on this current squad, there's not much. Even in recent years there hasn't been much. Right now, the only one I can think of is LeSean "Shady" McCoy and he's basically had that since he was a child. You'll hear other players call DeSean Jackson "Peanut" but no one else does.

So given the lack of good nicknames on the current team, I thought it would be fun to hand some out.

And just so we are clear, no, they do not have to be flattering or complimentary nicknames...

Oh and REC the best ones.
