Andy Reid to interview with Arizona Cardinals

Christian Petersen

When Andy Reid traded Kevin Kolb, he said he still saw him as a franchise QB. It seems like the Cardinals may be interested in having him prove that. Arizona Cardinals president Michael Bidwill has confirmed that he has reached out to Reid and is interested in hiring him as the next Cardinals coach.

Bidwill also says the team plans to interview Denver Broncos OC Mike McCoy and will give current Arizona DC Ray Horton an interview as well.

Should Reid get the Arizona job, his first visit back to Philadelphia will come a lot faster than anyone expected. The NFL released the Eagles 2013 opponents today and the Cardinals are set to visit the Linc next season.

In 14 years with the Eagles Reid won 130 games, the most in team history, made it to the playoffs 9 times and was named NFL coach of the year on 3 occasions. He won 10 playoff games, reached 5 NFC championship games and 1 Super Bowl.

The most recent of those NFC title game losses ironically came at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals.
