Eagles vs Cowboys score: Philadelphia leads 17-10 at the half

The Eagles were 10 point underdogs entering the game

US PRESSWIRE

The Cowboys were 10 point favorites coming into this game, but thanks to rookie RB Bryce Brown and a renewed Eagles defense it's Philadelphia that opened up a 17-10 lead at the half.

Brown, starting his second game in place of the injured LeSean McCoy, is so far proving that last week's big debut against the Panthers was no fluke. He's rushed for 101 yards on 13 carries for 2 TDs. He now has 4 rushing TDs on the season, which is twice as many LeSean McCoy so far.

Brown's 2 scores had the Eagles up 14-3 in the final minutes of the half, but Dallas engineered an 11 play, 75 yard drive that was capped off with a DeMarco Murray TD to close the gap to 14-10.

Brown would again be the catalyst as the Eagles got the ball back with :35 left in the half and drove down the field for an Alex Henery FG at the buzzer. It was Henry's 20th straight made FG, an Eagles record. The 2nd year man has now made more kicks in his first 50 attempts than any kicker in NFL history.
